Has anyone on the list had experience with wine/winex? I am interested in trying to use msoffice under linux. What capabilities does wine have for doing this. I have looked on the internet, and seen a few different types of wine. I am using RH8, and this has a version of wine on it allready, but I am unclear on how it works, and how advanced the installed version is for use. Is the one that came with my installation suitable for office. Also, winex I believe will let me run games designed for windows under linux. Is this true, and how well does it work. I would love to bugger off my windows all together, and if the above is possible, I would.
