I rebooted my Windows box one time without remembering to quit evolution
first (using the Cygwin X server), and it stopped remembering my password.
It worked fine again once I rebooted the Redhat box. I think some service
was left in a strange state.

[quoting order fixed]

I have been using evolution 1.0.8 for a few months to check a couple of
POP3 email accounts. One account has never asked me for my password
after I told it to save it. The other account will ask me every day or 2
for it (even though I have said to save it as well).

I was wondering if it had something to do with the mail server. Could
the mail server be forcing the mail client to ask the user to re-enter
the password? What are other possible explanations why one account will
ask me to re-enter the password and the other account will not?

Next Friday will not be your lucky day. As a matter of fact, you don't
have a lucky day this year.
