I am utterly surprised at home configuration that webmin has.  Answering
your questions backwards.  

It does not break services the way Linuxconf did.  My only (repeat only)
issue is I did not like the way it reformatted my DNS entries and it
does no decent sort on them.  

My division uses webmin for maintaining both NIS and DNS primarily.
