Hi Patrick,

may we misunderstand us. I know that I can make a symlink. But I don't like this way. I like to know how I change this in general. May I want to change other things as well. i.e. I don't like the viewer for jpegs. Then I have to erase this viewer to make a symlink to the new program. And may I break dependensies then. How I mentioned, this is quick and dirty and I like quick and dirty things much.

just do in the directory where bzip2 is ( i don't have it on my system):

ln -s ./bzip2 ./bzip this create a link from bzip2 to bzip

the next time that bzip is called it goes to bzip2
