Is there any way to get the boot messages framed up against some image
instead of the plain jane black console screen?

I am not talking about going all out and dealing with animation and
stuff like that the way SuSE does but the black console looks even
plainer than the minimalistic grub menu screen which is pretty bad.

I know this is pure eye candy but for those of use Running Redhat 8.0 on
a laptop where reboots happen daily -- turn off pc, bring it to work,
boot up again, plug into work, turn off the box, take it home, boot up
again, etc..etc.. it looks nice.

Also, for other folks from other OSes immediately notice the primitive
look of both the menu and boot messages screens.

Considering how much time and effort was put into Bluecurve the boot up
process still looks very nasty next to some other commercial distros.
