Hello : We have a dedicated PPP connection line 64K to ISP. Sometimes speed is excelent and sometimes not. what i can't figure it out. is why it gets so f... slooooooooooooow sometimes..i really donīt know what happend or what to do.
to solve this kind of problems where do i have to start checking? First- I give a call to my ISP and they said I have 63kb incomming traffic! but from where ? Iīm not downloading anything! not from my servers , and nobody in the network is downloading! So! where from is comming that?! I have a mix of hubs at 10Mbps and switchs at 100Mbps in the same network, could this generate such traffic? One of my network segments is wireless. something with that? how can i test my router? can it be the problem? can a router generate such random traffic? at my server console when i do /usr/sbin/tcpdump it starts ok, then in a while i get this filling all my screen forever and ever...
