Bruce:

I did a ftp install recently and what is needed is one parent directory
of:

/RedHat and 2 sub directories of /RedHat/RPMS and /RedHat/base

So I would just create a path of /home/myusername/RedHat/RPMS and
/home/myusername/RedHat/base

Cd #1 has all the base files to copy under /RedHat/base and then copy
all
the RPMS from the 3 Cd's to one /home/myusername/RedHat/RPMS file. I did
not find any overwritten files when copying the files in this manner.

Then use your bootnet.img floppy that I assume you made to connect to
that
server via ftp or however you wish and start you installation.

Hope this helps,

Eddie Stohmier
