1. Red Hat wants to make it work but not bad enough to hold up an
entire release for.
2. Red Hat will probably include it when it's ready.
3. Although it may work for you now - and it does work fine for some
other users - you may run into the same issues that Red Hat ran into.

Red Hat usually bangs on certain features very hard and will find bugs
that the average user may not run into. Red Hat, however, tries very
hard to ensure that the features work for everybody, not just the
average user. Depending on where you fit determines if the ACL support is
appropriate for you."

Ed,

Thanks, for the info, I was interested in why the support got pulled, like
what problems were encountered and in what ways was ACL found to be unstable
as well as what patches were used. I definitely want ACL support to be
implemented and understand that stability comes first, and would like it to
be "officially" supported by Red Hat. I hope that it will be in the future
as it will help me convince more people to move from existing MS servers.
For the time being, I was wondering whether anyone has tried any particular
patches, what patch they used as well as, what experiences they've had.

Thanks for the response!
Todd
