Networking WinXP and RH7.2 via Linksys DSL/Cable Router

I think the subject says it all, but in case it doesn't, I'm looking to enable file sharing on the XP box so that I can move files to/from the XP computer to the Linux box.

Is this at all possible? I've had some friends indicated that this would be impossible but I'm not so sure that is impossible.

I've searched both Google and TLDP.org for "Networking WinXP and RH7.2 via Linksys DSL/Cable Router" and both return nothing, but then again it could be my query string is too refined. *shrugs*
