Hello,

Tonight I tried to install the lucent drivers for the modem in my
laptop. in the past I've used this before and have had no problem.

But now when I try to compile the module it complains that the source
code is not compatible with GCC 3.

There is a rpm for the driver for RH8 here: http://www.heby.de/ltmodem
but it appears that they were compiled with gcc2 and when I try to
insert the module it complains that the kernel was compiled with gcc3
and it can't be used. I can't figure out how that is supposed to work
short of compiling the kernel with gcc 2.95 but then wouldn't glibc and
everything else also need to be compiled with gcc 2.95?

Has anyone else gotten their lucent (win/lin)modem working with redhat
8?
