I'm trying to install kernel-2.4.18-10.i586.rpm on a system that only has kernel-2.4.18-10.i386.rpm installed. RPM screams bloody murder when attempting this because it says that files conflict. So, can I safely remove the -i386 package, and install the -i586 one without causing severe hemorrhaging in my head?
