if you have no scsi, it will be /dev/sda

you may need to modprobe usb-storage first, and of course the usb filesystem
will need to be mounted.

        /home/greg# mount -v | grep usb
        usbdevfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbdevfs (rw)

after that it should work just fine.
