Hey,
I have a Red Hat 7.2 system on an IBM ThinkPad. I connect to the
university's network using DHCP. I have my hostname hardcoded as
kbreit.lan.
My system gets slow after a while to the point where I am unable to use
it. It periodically happens after I've had it on for 3 or 4 days
connected to the internet. Most frequently though, I have issues with
it when I unplug the connection from the computer. It'll be okay but
after a minute or two, the system becomes really slow. It's slow in
both X and console.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is a huge annoyance.
