I have just upgraded a Proliant 3000 server of ours that has an integrated cirrus video chip. I am haveing trouble getting x to display properly. THere is 1MB detected on the card so that puts me in 8 bit color for the desired resolution of 1024x768.
The issu is that portions of dialog boxes are all black with black text and it renders the GUI unusable. X rarely runs on this box but occationally the need does arise. For instance the sawfish configuration dialog :( Any one know how to work around this? Any tips appreciated.
