Even though you don't need to, you still might want to, it lets you
ssh into your laptop, but more likely useful is the ability to sftp
into it.  I don't do it often, but occasionally I find myself in a
bash session that is on a machine different from my notebook--even
though I might be using my notebook at the time.  It is nice to be
able to go both directions.
