I use ColdFusion MX on a regular basis, but I install from the
Macromedia distribution CD, which uses it's own installer.

If you installed from RPM, I suggest finding some file belonging to CFMX
(such as /opt/coldfusionmx/bin/cfusion) and doing a rpm -qf of it to
find the appropiate package and removing it.

Failing that, The version I use leaves an uninstall.sh script for
uninstalling, which might be of use to you as well.

Btw, where did you get CFMX on RPM?
