Suspend-to-RAM using the keyboard function keys should work. APM-style suspend-to-disk (in a special partition) might work. ACPI-style hibernate I don't think will work. (It might be in the ACPI stuff, but that's not standard yet and I haven't tried it out.) Note that not all hardware will do this reliably due to BIOS bugs, XFree86 driver bugs, and stuff.
