There is no A record for 'chkrootkit.org', but there is for
'www.chkrootkit.org' - I do the same thing with my domains. (yeehaw.net says
non-existent, but www.yeehaw.net exists)
As for pinging a remote host, I've stopped relying on that a long time ago,
mainly because many ISP's now block those requests, or drop the packets.
