Hi Everyone,

I am having trouble installing enlightenment 0.16.5 on psyche. First
fnlib complained about a not installed libImlib.so.1. Imlib is installed
on the system (incl. devel package), but provides libImlib.so.11. So I
created a symlink to that. Didn't work. Trying to install fnlib with rpm
-Uvh --nodeps yielded in rpm hanging. I had to kill -9 the process and
afterwards rpm didn't work at all until I rebooted (not good!!!). So,
since this is still Linux (although it sometimes doesn't feel like that
anymore: theme is ok, but the preference settings cluttered all across
the menu without any consistency is not a good idea, feels too much like
that other OS), I installed that from sources without problems.

Of course, rpm still complains about the missing libImlib.so.1 when I
try to install enlightenment (from the sourceforge rpm). Compiling from
sources also fails as well. One of the things I find interesting, is
that enlightenment's configure couldn't find the freetype headers,
although they are installed. I don't know if this a RH problem or not, I
can only state that I didn't encounter these problems with RH7.1 or any
other version prior to this (7.2 and 7.3 are only headless machines
here).

Is there someone out there who could help me? I need (ok, I want) to run
enlightenment for I only want a WM without all the desktop stuff.

By the way, how do I disable the spell checker in evolution?

So far, I am not exactly impressed by 8.0, but I am willing to work or
wait for 8.x where x>0.

Thanks in advance for any kind of input (except maybe for stuff like:
'dude, drop e, it sucks' :-) ), I'd appreciate it.

Andreas
