This stuff looks really confusing. Has anyone here done this before? I'm tempted to yank out my 120gig out of my external case and put it into the computer replacing a 40gig I have. I could then take the 40gig and put it in the external case for Windows and remote storage (when my friends have some ripped DVD's that I want, I bring it over and copy it from their computer onto the external hard drive). I could then just copy the stuff over with Window$ and then go back to my beloved Linux.
Thanks for the info, it's truly appreciated. -Jon On Thu, 2002-10-03 at 19:09, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Try these, > > I haven't done this myself, and I'm not sure about getting the Version 2.0 > part of the USB to work correctly, but... > > http://bravin.home.cern.ch/bravin/usbide/usbide.html > > usb 2.0 stuff that I haven't read... > http://www.linux-usb.org/usb2.html > > > I hope you have some time on your hands...I'm not sure how easy this will be > to get going smoothly, but if past experiance is any indicator...well...you > should probably order the pizza now and call in sick for work tomorrow. > > :-) > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Jonathan Gaudette [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, October 03, 2002 2:56 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: RedHat 8.0 and USB Hard Drive > > > Thank you very much for your reply.
