I'm running RH 7.3 with KDE. I want to set up a backup procedure on my
CD writer. I'm using the KonCD front end that came with the install.

If I try to copy both /home/jathomas/ and /root/ to the CD, I get an
error that I have a file of the same name in /home/jathomas/.kde/ and in
/root/.kde/. This is true, but why should it matter if each directory
is being written seperately to the CD? Does the writer just copy all
the files in the specified directories without regard to the directory
structure?

Any tips appreciated.
