I have a system configured to allow any system to do a remote XDMCP connection. This works fine when I am on the internal network. Some users use VPN from home to connect to our network. These users are unable to connect to a Red Hat Linux system with exceed. However, they have no problems going to other UNIX systems, like HP-UX. I was unable to find any logs as to why this is not working. The only thing that I could think of was the X server may not allow connection from hosts if it was unable to resolve the IP address. I have this problem on all of my Red Hat systems that are configured for XDMCP. Does anyone know where I could find logs as to why the connection is not allowed or if there is any configuration settings what would prevent a connection?
