        I hope that you are well, the question is what sort of install did you 
perform ? If you decided that there are certain things you didn't need 
or didn't want to install then certain libs associated with that package 
may not have been installed.

        Now I usually install all the libraries onto the system. This way I 
don't really have problems with compiling/installing rpms. I guess that 
you can find these off your RH install cd's but I guess that there is 
sense to it too, if you don't need something its not installed at all, 
and if you want something then you need the pre-requisites like 
University courses. I think that is the way to go.

        I am a "power user" such that I compile and install alot of programs to 
test out and stuff like that. So all the libs installed makes sense, 
maybe for you system it may not.

        I don't know if I was clear, if not write back and I will try to be 
more articulate.
