Agreed, all you will get is the updates from orig 7.3 to current 7.3. You could use Kpackage and point it at the 7.3 base ftp site plus the 7.3 updates ftp site. I use this to update odd packages, but there are more than a few which can't be upgraded due to significantly complicated dependencies...
Suggest getting the CD and running a proper update to 7.3 instead. -----Original Message----- From: linux power [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 18 September 2002 09:35 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: upgrade via up2date I dont think the up2date packages from a lower version of redhat is so updated as they should be. So I think u not will get a complete 7.3 by using up2date, but I'am not quite sure about it. --- maillist <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> skrev: > is it possible to upgrade from rh7.x to rh 7.3 via > up2date, if i fake my > version to be 7.3? i already use grub, so this > wouldnt be a problem. > > yours > josef > > > > > > > -- > redhat-list mailing list > unsubscribe > mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe > https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list ______________________________________________________ Se den nye Yahoo!
