Hi all, My machine's gone poorly.
When I boot up in runlevel 5, everything looks fine until X starts up. I see the NVidia screen appear when the driver initialises, and then it goes away and comes back. It's as though the X setup is failing and then re-trying. This continues until I shut down or switch to runlevel 3. When I shut down the system, as the various services are stopped, XFS fails while all the other suceed. This makes me think that this is my problem. Can anyone suggest how to fix this problem or at least where to start looking for a cause.
