You could also go to www.kaffe.org and get the new release (yes, after years frozen Kaffe got a new mantainer and it's being improved again). You can also use the GNU Compiler for Java (GCJ), part of the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC). You do have it on the RHL CD but I advise you to download and copile GCC-3.2 from sources as GCJ is much improved from 2.9. I guess you can also get it from rawhide or some other RPM site.
