On the kernel line in /etc/grub.conf add "mem=192M" .  Be sure to 
remember the M or it will be k, or megs.   Also you may need to do 
slightly less than 192.

PS-  Remember you can edit the grub configuration at the grub prompt. 
 Just hit e.
