I don't know all the video chipsets anymore, but you probably need a newer XFree86 4.x (either that or 3.3.6). Also, I think RedHat 7.0 had broken PCMCIA (it could have been 7.1). I'd recommend going with 7.2 or 7.3 instead. Both 7.1 and 7.2 work with my old laptop and Korean modem, but I can't remember if I had to do surgery on 7.1 or 7.0 (ie, install the PCMCIA package separately and build a custom kernel). In general, upgrading to newer versions fixes most problems (but I can't promise it won't cause any new problems).
