I am trying to use a MATSHITA (Panasonic) DVD-R model
LF-D311 on my RedHat 7.2 system. When I use either cdrecord or dvdrecord, each comes
up and says no CD/DVD-Recorder or unsupported CD/DVD-Recorder found on this
target. When I try cdrecord –scanbus or dvdrecord –scanbus they both recognize it, but as a LF-D310 instead of
a LF-D311. After scouring the web, I found that lots of people had probs with this type (the LF-D310) unfortunately no
solutions were found, just desperate cries for help (much like this one). Anyway,
I figured if I could find the Linux drivers for the LF-D311 model, all would be
saved, however can’t find them (it). Would anyone know where I could download these, or even if
there are any out there. Obviously, I tried the
manufacture’s web site and found nothing…or if there is another
approach that might work… Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Jayson |
