While I don't have a specific number, I believe that the number is somewhere
around 6 or 7, including specific worms (rather than just virii).

The bigger threat is rootkits, which can be applied to systems that haven't
been properly and fully patched/updated.

In my case, I'm running an anti-virus as I'm running a mail server which is
accessed by Windows clients, and a samba server, which is also accessed,
obviously, by Windows clients.
