I'm attempting to export a ncpfs (novell) mounted file system. in the ncpmount man page is says that mountd and nfsd must be restarted with --re-export. The nfs packages that come with Red Hat, don't have the --re-export option. I've looked in the documentation, SRPM, and at nfs.sourceforge.net and have found nothing mentioning --re-export.
I did find on a debian mailing list that people were mentioning the option with their nfs server, I guess they use different software? http://lists.debian.org/debian-testing/2001/debian-testing-200104/msg00045.html Does anyone have some insight why this option seems to be missing from Red Hat's NFS server, or how to get this to work? When I try to mount the nfs exported volume I get this error on the nfs server: Sep 6 14:38:30 server rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from 10.1.1.1:834 for /mnt/volume (/mnt/volume) Sep 6 14:38:30 server rpc.mountd: getfh failed: Operation not permitted The volume is set up wide open in exports, I get the same error from localhost, and I can mount other volumes no problem. -- Jeff Bearer, RHCE Webmaster, PittsburghLIVE.com 2002 EPpy Award Winner, Best Newspaper Website -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]?subject=unsubscribe https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
