Yes, I can delete the old system from RHN, but I need to un-register? transfer? the current system to the subscription. Has anyone tried to change their local RHN settings? Is it in some config file? I contacted support 2 days ago and have not received a response. Maybe some RHN tycoon is lurking on this list and will have pity upon me. :-) Well, I can't believe I found it with man up2date. It's in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/systemid. Maybe I can try changing my local systemid id to match the RHN systemid. I'm not sure what that would do to the checksum value for the name, but anything is worth a try at this point. I'll try that tomorrow.
