Hi,

I have recently installed rh7.3 (and have little experience with Linux!),
but I need to downgrade ImageMagick to version 4.2.9 (for the Typo3 CMS).

I've actually done this...and re-installed 4.2.9 using an rpm...but the
install is not working properly.

I now understand that I need a lib file libbz2.so.0...this is from an older
version of bzip2, which I have, but I can't install it because I already
have bzip2 1.0.2 installed. This may be causing the problem.

What I really need to do is uninstall both IM & bzip2, & then install bzip2
(old version), and IM from a tar that I have. I am worried about
uninstalling bzip2 1.0.2, because there seem to be so many other packages
dependant on it. Will they work with the earlier version...or is there a way
to install another version to a different location so they won't
conflict...I've tried using rpm, but the dependency check says that my
earlier version will conflict.

Can someone give me some advice on how to proceed?

Thanks

Nige
