rpmdb-redhat is quite useful, but it is only intended as a tool. It really 
can't be used to replace the systems rpmdb.
If that were done, rpm would then believe that every package on the 
install CDs had been installed on the system. Also, rpmdb-redhat isn't 
updated for errata rpms, and would likely include the wrong version info 
for many packages.
