Fred Mushel, On Wednesday August 14, 2002 12:10, you said something about: > File ifcfg-eth0 was found in /etc/sysconfig/networking/devices and in > /etc/sysconfig/profiles/default! The previous info you got looks confusing and possibly inaccurate. If you would like to try another way... As root... Creat the file : ifcfg-eth0-range0 In the Directory : /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ With contents similar to: IPADDR_START=10.10.10.20 IPADDR_END=10.10.10.40 CLONENUM_START=0 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 Save the file and then issue "service network restart" (sans quotes) at the prompt and then check it with an "ifconfig". Read the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup-aliases file for more details. Good luck. -- Brian Ashe CTO Dee-Web Software Services, LLC.
