I have a Gateway 2000 Pentium-PRO (128MB RAM)PC to which i was trying to have both
Win98 and Linux
(RHAT 7.2).
Disk 0 (2.5GB)IDE Master --> Linux is installed (recognised as "hda" during linux
installation).
Disk 1 (3.6GB) IDE Slave --> Win98 is installed (recognised as "hdb" during linux
installation).
The Disk 1 was installed with Win98 long time back and was working as IDE master. i
just added
Disk0 to load linux and configured this one as IDE Master and the existing Disk as IDE
slave.
During the Linux installation, i had installed the lilo loader as well to the MBR of
"hda". The
system boots up and the Lilo loader shows up. When i select Linux as the boot option,
it boots
properly and works.
But when i select DOS as the boot option, the system hangs. The message is :

Loading DOS
Invalid system disk. replace the disk and then press any key.

Any idea ?? What is going on ?? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx
bala
