Find the file "redhat.mc" and edit it to comment out the line that makes
sendmail listen only to localhost (127.0.0.1). Use "locate redhat.mc" to
find the file.

Then rebuild your sendmail.cf file using the command "m4 redhat.mc >
/etc/sendmail.cf".

Then tell sendmail to relay mail for client machines on your local
network. Assuming your local network is 192.168.1.1/255.255.255.0, then
you would add a line like "192.168.1 RELAY" to the file /etc/mail/access.

Then restart sendmail "service sendmail restart".

There is a lot of information on sendmail at <http://www.semdial.org/>. If
you plan to run a mail server, you should at least look at the FAQ there.
