I can understand this.
I find 6.2 much more stable than the 7.x series (although 7.3 looks
pretty good so far) and it hasn't got the bloat that the later
releases have.

I believe it's 3 years after the release (which would mean May 2003
for Zoot).

FWIW, I was able to install 6.2 on a dual PIII 600Mhz which
I don't think is supported. This involved:

- taking out every card but the video card
- booting on the boot image from the updates
- install using text mode (the mouse doesn't work)
- after install, apply all updates (the most important being the kernel)
- put back the network card, power on and configure it
- put back all other cards
