Load balancing is where you have more than one service that will do a job
(eg multiple drives, multiple CPUs, multiple machines, multiple links to
a network, etc) and you want to share the burden of supplying the service
across the services (usually transparently). Example: to have two dialups
to the internet and pretend you have a single double speed link.

So a co-worker had never heard of DIVX but I told her about it and she
