hello,
i have a huge gtk mess going on here.
when i try to compile multi-gnome-terminal-1.5.1
i get errors stating that gtk is not installed.

checking for gtk-config... /usr/bin/gtk-config
checking for GTK - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** Could not run GTK test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for
the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK was incorrectly
installed
*** or that you have moved GTK since it was installed. In the latter case,
you
*** may want to edit the gtk-config script: /usr/bin/gtk-config
configure: error: GTK not installed

i know it is installed. and is newer than 1.2.0

[root@blt multi-gnome-terminal-1.5.1]# /usr/bin/gtk-config --version gtk
1.2.8

and i checked the rpm and got weird stuff....

[root@blt multi-gnome-terminal-1.5.1]# rpm -q gtk
gtk-1.2.10-ximian.16

getting that, i thought i would check all things that referenced gtk....

[root@blt multi-gnome-terminal-1.5.1]# rpm -qa|grep gtk
pygtk-0.6.6-0_helix_3
gtkmm-1.2.3-0_helix_1
gtk+-1.2.8-0_helix_1
gtk+10-1.0.6-6
gtk-1.2.10-ximian.16
gtk-engines-0.10-3
pygtk-libglade-0.6.6-0_helix_3
gtk+-devel-1.2.8-0_helix_1
rep-gtk-0.15-0_helix_2
rep-gtk-gnome-0.15-0_helix_2
rep-gtk-libglade-0.15-0_helix_2

i guess i got a big mess. where do i start??
any leads would help.

TIA

eric
