Hey Bosko,

First of all, you will need to remove all Linux partitions from the hard
disk. You'll need the Linux fdisk, cos' the DOS version cannot handle Linux
partitions. If Linux is still working in the system, then get a console (as
root) and type 'fdisk /dev/hda' (you have an IDE disk, do you?). At the
prompt that appears, type 'p' to print to screen the partition table. You'll
see a table showing your current partitions. Then type 'd' to delete each
partition. The system will ask you the partition number, look for the number
appended to the device name (/dev/hda) in each case. Remember to say goodbye
to your installation before doing this, as the Linux installation will be
gone after this :(

Next, go to a running Windows PC, make a boot disk, copy fdisk.exe in it,
and boot the ex-Linux system with it. When the ugly A:\> prompt appears,
type fdisk /mbr, and that's it. After that, reboot and run fdisk again, this
time without parameters. Create the usual single, whole-disk partition for
DOS, reboot again and install Windows.

Come back if something goes wrong (hope it doesn't :)
cl.
