I'm frustrated and looking for help.  I've been trying to get my win2K client to use shares from my linux server for months (8 months) and have had no luck thus far.

Here's what I've got.

Client:
Corporate Laptop (built with Win2K Pro)
setup to access corp.company.com as the Domain
setup with active directory
at home on internal lan 192.168.100.2

Server:
Redhat 7.3 stock
Samba 2.2.3a stock

I went through the readme and double checked all of the settings.  They are set so that the Linux server acts as the PDC for the home network.  I added the machine accounts in manually and setup the smb passwd files appropriately.

When I go into network ID to join the Domain, I get an error that says the system cannot find the domain (I have CORP set as the domain).

There are too many things going on here for me to figure out what is wrong.

If anyone knows of a good step-by-step for setting up win2k and Samba I'd appreciate it.

thanks
