Cygwin/XFree86 lets you install a small GNU environment on a Windows box,
including bash, grep, and other utilities. It also supports a ported
version of XFree86. You can run XFree86 on a Winbox and set it to connect
to [x|k|g]dm on a Linux box. I think it even includes an SSH client so
don't even have to set PuTTy.
