        This is obvious if u have forgotten to run "lilo -u" before formating your 
disk. 
The reason for this is the boot entry in Master boot record(MBR). you should erase 
this 
entry before trying to install the new version. The option left for you will be to 
make a
startup disk for windows or dos 6.22 and boot ur system using it. 
At cmd prompt type  A:\> fdisk /mbr   and reboot your system now use redhat startup 
disk
and u should be through.
