Actually, I use a more easily maintained script saved elswhere my box. The script does several useful things, like parse the IP addresses of the nameservers from /etc/resolv.conf and allow me to easily specify the IP addresses of remote machines that I want to connect to for certain services. After all the ipchains commands have run, the last line of the script saves the settings: service ipchains save That saves the settings in /etc/sysconfig/ipchains in an abbreviated format which is a pain to maintain. So when I need to make changes, I edit and run my script. Tony - -- Anthony E.
