Jim Campbell, On Friday June 07, 2002 04:06, you said something about: > I would like to get my LINUX workstation and server on a WINDOWS NT 4.0 > ethernet LAN. Can I do this and what is the procedure. Thks.
Your question leaves a lot of possiblities for answers. You might want to be more specific as to what you want to _do_ on your LAN. Fro instance if you are speaking of plugging in your machine and then browsing network shares hosted on the NT server or using a shared printer then you would want to look at Samba. You may also be interested in things like Linneigborhood to simulate the "Network Neighborhood" for browsing and mounting said shares. If you do some reading and have tried a couple of things and can tell us what is going wrong, or if you are not sure where to go for particular documentation to do something in particular, ask away. But it is hard to answer a vague question when there are so many possibilities.
