        if u have tried to set bios or any hardware configuration prior to getting 
this error. then redo the last changes.  

As the display states try passing init= option to kernel.this can be done by
                <At lilo prompt> init=/sbin/init
note: you have to setup all the required boot time procedures manually like mounting 
the root filesystem,running fsck and so on.
