Background: ----------- I upgraded a P4 machine from Redhat 6.0 to 7.3 recently. I added *all* packages during the upgrade. The upgrade seemed to go without a hitch.
I just connected a USB printer and ran printconf-gui which set up the printer. (I had no printer connected with the 6.0 installation.) No lpr/lpr/lpq/lpc commands exist in the installation. I was able to print using lpq.LPRng (after trying many lp* commands). Questions: ---------- * Am I supposed to manually add links for lp, lpq, lprm? It seems odd that one should have to do this. * Has lpc gone away? Any insight/pointers would help.
