I'm not sure how to handle it for that printer, though. But here's two suggestions: 1. Run printconf and see if that gives you any options for the driver (printconf-tui if you're in console mode). I have a deskjet-something-or-other and printconf *does* have an option for print quality (draft, normal or presentation) if you dig deep enough editing the driver options. 2. Check http://www.linuxprinting.org - not only is it a great site with how-to docs and more, but there's a forum. So you can ask a human there.
