Duncan,

apt-get for RPM has been around for a while.  It is used quite a bit by
SuSE users last time I was on their list a few weeks ago, especially
since they (SuSE) maintain more of a coherent group of software packaged
for SuSE.  But apt-rpm is alive and well.
